A hum of excitement, anxiety, and anticipation filled the dressing room as first-year students from Westphal College of Arts & Design put the finishing touches on their timely creations for the 6th annual Garbage Gala.
Frilly tissue paper, recycled bottle caps, and broken CDs repurposed into intricate designs. Each stitch, fold, and tear encapsulates a story of dedication. The "Garbage Gala" showcases these artist’s abilities to see beauty in the forgotten. Not only is the transformation of materials displayed but so is the growth of students' creative minds.
A term's worth of work in the spotlight for one night. As the lights dim and the echo of eager chatter simmers, the future of sustainable fashion steps forward.
Stay #tunedin because the 7th Garbage Gala returns this May, bringing another showcase of bold, boundary-pushing designs.
